The Raleigh Professional Women’s Forum is an organization for professional women whose purpose is to develop relationships with other professional women. Unlike many community and business organizations, open business solicitation is discouraged.
While networking is encouraged, RPWF members do not attend meetings or other organization activities to be solicited for business or to acquire a collection of business cards.
RPWF members often conduct business with other members as they get to know them. Referrals are frequent as members help one another professionally and personally. Members often ask other members for their advice in the areas for which they have expertise. But business is not the reason that RPWF exists. The relationships that we build with each other and the growth and inspiration that we share are much more valuable than a business lead.
RPWF’s diverse membership crosses a wide swath of professions and experience, allowing members to get to know other professional women they may not encounter through their career, family or social channels. Membership in RPWF is by invitation and is limited so that members have the opportunity to get to know one another.
