Patricia Hopkins is Corporate VP of Marketing and Branding at SMT in Durham. If you‘re unfamiliar with the company, just think about the recent Olympic games and the scoring technology you watched, for example. Since its founding 30 years ago, SMT has grown to become the premier technology provider for pinnacle world-renowned sports events. SMT designed and developed the official scoring, statistics, and onsite live presentation systems for the Olympics, NBA, the NHL, the New York City Marathon, the PGA TOUR, NASCAR, the CrossFit Games, all four golf majors, and the four tennis Grand Slams. Patricia will tell us about the amazing fan experience powered by technology that we‘ve come to expect, plus what‘s on the horizon for the future — and her own professional journey with SMT.
