Building Communities through Good food and Conversation

Maggie Kane is the Executive Director of A Place at the Table, a pay what you can restaurant in downtown Raleigh that is also a 501(c)3 nonprofit.  Maggie  will share the story of building community through good food, conversation, and a way to bring us all together.  With an innovative mindset--patrons pay what they can or they volunteer--Maggie will inspire you to build community in the most creative ways.

Maggie graduated from North Carolina State University in 2013 and began working in the nonprofit sector. After a few years, she saw a need in the community for a pay-what-you-can cafe. She loves to run and eats an enormous amount of crunchy peanut butter!
